Education and Admissions

I. Eligibility

1. Applicants must be citizens of a country other than the People's Republic of China. 

2. Applicants must be high school diploma holders and under the age of 30 (HIT Scholarship applicants must be under the age of 25).

3. Applicant are in good health both mentally and physically.

4. Applicants must meet minimum language proficiency standards.

Chinese-taught programs: HSK level 4≥210 scores (valid for two years)

If the language of instruction in the previous degree is Chinese, the applicant can provide the Chinese language instruction certificate issued by the previous institution.

No requirement for applicants' English proficiency.

English-taught programs: TOEFL≥80 scores, academic IELTS≥6.0(no subtest lower than 5.5). Or other authorized equivalent standards of English proficiency.

If the language of instruction in the previous degree is English, the applicant can provide the English language instruction certificate issued by the previous degree institution.

No requirement for applicants' Chinese proficiency.

5. All applicants have to take the China Scholastic Competency Assessment (CSCA) in advance and get the score report. The report is required material for review before admission.The specific test schedule and format will be announced separately.

 

II. Application Documents

The application documents in other languages must be notarized in English or Chinese.

1. Log into the HIT online application system to complete the application form.

The online application system is available at https://hit.at0086.cn/student 

2. Passport homepage.

3. Senior high school diploma or expected graduation certificate.

4. China Scholastic Competency Assessment (CSCA) Score Report

5. High school transcript.

6. Language proficiency certificates.

Note: Applicants who apply for Chinese Language and Literature do not need to provide language qualification certificates.

7. Recent Physical Examination Record for Foreigner.

8. Applicants who are under 18 years old before September 1, 2026, are required to submit notarized guardianship documents for non-adults.

9. Non-criminal record report (usually issued within six months before the application submission date).

10. Curriculum Vitae.

11. Remittance voucher of application fee (CNY400/USD60 ).

12. Certificate of deposit (at least CNY20,000 or equivalent foreign currency).

13. Proof of outstanding academic achievements, sports, art, cultural exchanges, public welfare activities, etc. (not mandatory).

Important Note:

1. Applicants must ensure that the application materials are authentic and valid. Any applicants found to have engaged in falsification or misconduct for personal gain shall have their application, admission, or enrollment qualifications rejected upon verification of the facts; if such circumstances are discovered after enrollment, the student shall be expelled.

2. Application materials must be submitted through the online application system. Materials submitted through non-online application system shall not be accepted.

IV. Application Period

Applications are open all year round.

The deadline for September 2026 intake is May 31st, 2026.

V. Fees

Note: The fees mentioned above are non-refundable apart from the accommodation fee.

VII. Teaching Language

All bachelor's degree programs are taught in Chinese.

Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Architecture, Intelligence Medical Engineering and Business Administration can be taught in English.

 

VIII. Scholarships

Note: Applicants are not allowed to apply for two types of scholarships (including CSC scholarship and HIT scholarship) simultaneously, once discovered, the admission shall be rejected.
